Not only did Malcolm and Sharon do a fantastic job on my sand stone floor but they were a really lovely couple. Our 2 year old light grey porcelain tiled floor had always looked a bit grubby even after regular cleaning. It has a surface finish of very small dimples and it seemed to hold the dirt. I tried various ways of cleaning tiny test patches and although it did make a difference it was obvious that there was no way I could put in that amount of effort over the whole floor. Malcolm came for a recce the next day and decided that much of the problem was 'grout haze' as well as ingrained dirt not adequately cleaned by the builders. Malcolm and Sharon returned a short while later and spent the best part of the day working tirelessly to bring it to a great finish. Thank you both.

Having been left very disappointed with a local tile restoration company i enlisted Malcom and i should say his good wife Sharon to tackle my Victorian tiled kitchen floor. Malcom identified the previous cleaning process left a lot to be desired which they quickly rectified. This aspect was the route of the problem which simply didn't allow the floor to looks at its best. The age of the floor has to be factored in with decades of neglect when managing ones expectation as to the final look. Malcom has a tremendous work ethic and you feel he works on the floor as if its his own in his own home. The next step being the application of the correct product as regards polish & sealant crucial for the final look. Following 5 coats which Malcom felt was needed the floor i must say is transformed. Knowledge is key when sourcing the right trades people combined with trust that the job is taken on and performed to an acceptable level. Malcom has delivered in spades the floor looks fantastic.

Malcolm’s work on our tiles has transformed them. We were very unhappy with the finish on our grey limestone tiles after our new kitchen was fitted. The tiles looked dusty with light/white marks all over which didn’t look part of the stone. Malcolm treated them over two days including using oil and a buffer machine. Malcolm and Sharon are the Real Deal. Our two hundred year old quarry tiles that had been mouldering under damp shag-pile carpet when we moved in, are now gleaming. They worked solidly to remove old plaster nd deep staining from bitumen and would not give up until they had restored the tiles to their former glory. We now have a living room to be proud of and quarry tiles that will surely be admired for another two hundred years.

I arranged for them to come out again recently as some areas were getting a bit dull, the grout was starting to look a bit grubby and we had some areas where the seal had come off. I contacted Tile Doctor in a panic as our lovely black limestone patio had been ruined by acid wash by the man who laid it. We had spoken to a couple of people regarding cleaning it and inevitably they advised it was beyond repair. Cue sleepless nights and tears, and googling till the early hours, and I stumbled across Tile Doctor and am I glad I did!! Malcolm contacted me within hours, he popped in to have a look and did a quick sample to show what was possible. The sample t ile looked amazing and I had hope for our patio!! Kitchen and hall floor tiles had years of ingrained grease and dirt. I used a steam cleaner and thought I had done a good job, until I moved a door mat... My "clean" floor was brown - whereas the tiles under the mat were cream. Called in Malcolm who came and treated a specimen area. When I saw the result, I agreed his quote immediately. He promised that he and his wife (Tile Doctors from Gloucester area), would be here at 0815 a couple of days later. Exactly on time, they appeared and started working. WHAT A DIFFERENCE... Tiles are "back to new" and now sealed, so I can clean them easily with the correct products - but they advised no more steam cleaning as it will remove the seal.

Malcom is a very professional tile cleaning expert. They both worked really hard on our large 1850's Victorian tiled floor over several days. The degree of dirt removed was incredible and a significant differ nce even after this initial stage. Malcom went on to stick loose and replace missing tiles and re-grout as required. He was very diligent and didn't rush the job, making sure he didn't miss anything before finally sealing the floor with a satin finish. The restored floor is beautiful and befitting the original appearance of the castle. Malcom was extremley methodical and a neat and tidy worker, non-invasive of our day to day routine. We are very pleased that we chose Tile Doctor and Malcom to do the work and more than happy to recommend him. We will have no hesitation in re-employing him for other floors in the castle.

I contacted Tile Doctor in desperation as I’d had a firm out to clean and seal my Travertine tiles and sadly they did a really bad job. I have natural limestone tiles in my kitchen and dining area that after just 18 months had taken a lot of wear and staining. The lovely cream grout had turned black and there were lots of other unsightly stai. . . s. Malcolm got in touch the day after I made an enquiry on the website and was very helpful in first doing a small test patch to give me an idea of the results to expect. The quote was fair and we arranged a time slot quickly. I was amazed and really pleased with the results. The grout is cream again and the floor shines - it looks brand new. I'd be happy to recommend this service.

We had several broken and chipped tiles in our kitchen floor, originally put in in the 1850s. Malcom replaced over 20 of them and renovated and cleaned the rest. The result is very impressive! Our local tile doctor (Malcolm) came and did the estimate quickly and without fuss. The quote was reasonable and there was no pressure applied. We arranged a date about 2 weeks later. On the day Malcolm and his wife turned up to do the work. Both were outstandingly pleasant and worked hard all day. In the end they left our travitine tiles looking better than when they were first laid. They left an excellent finish and tidied up so that the bathroom could have been used immediately. If it had not been for this work we would have have to had the bathroom re-tiled. In short it was a thoroughly professional job and we are very pleased. Thank you.
