Unlike the cowboy that laid my patio and left it covered in stains, Matt was thoroughly professional. He took the time to not only find out how to remove the stains, but test that it worked. He communicated throughout and was patient whilst I gave the perpetrator a chance to rectify the issue. He then rectified the problem as promised.

We discovered some original hallway tiles in our 1930’s semi, which had been covered under layers of carpet, underlay, Lino and finally Vinyl tiles! The adhesive that had been used to secure the vinyl tile was a thick, brown substance and virtually impossible to remove. I contacted Tile Doctor and Matt got in touch quickly. Matt was happy to stop by and assess them, he spent a good 10 minutes working on an area, free of charge, to allow us the chance to see the colours and condition of them. He was very knowledgeable and clearly cared about the tiles and how they would potentially look. The quote we received was reasonable so we booked. Matt worked on the tiles for 2 full days. He was pleasant and really hard working. He used various methods to ensure they were as clean as possible, replaced any broken tiles and removed a LOT of grime…..90 years worth! We were delighted with the results.

Matt has done a fantastic job by making my patio look like it should have from the beginning. It is now lovely and black like I wanted. He has managed to clean off the cement that had been left on the tiles. We had to rearrange as the first time he came it was pouring down meaning he couldn't get it done properly. This was no problem luckily this time it was a fine day. I can now put the finishing touches to my garden after waiting for this after my bodge it builder left it in a mess. Matt has worked an absolute miracle with our silver travertine floor. For a number of years we had lived with a dull, brown looking floor which was full of holes . Really happy with Matt who came to our house. He replied really quickly, attended to give us an estimate on an agreed date and then attended to do the job for us. Both times he was on time and helpful. Our flo r was absolutey gross due to a combination of being opposite shift workers, somewhat lazy and the owners of a Great Dane amongst other pets. Matt deep cleaned the tiles and the grout and then recoloured our grout also. Floor looks like it did 6 years ago when it was new. Very happy with the result and the price was very good we both thought. Thanks.

Top guy.. professional friendly approach. I had some Italian limestone tiles that had absorbed lots of dirt as they wernt sealed properly on install . He cleaned thoroughly and sealed the tiles, it looked li e a new floor! No messing and he's a red!

Matt immediately contacted me following my initial enquiry. He arrived on time on the scheduled day. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He used a combination of techniques to completely remove the stubbor soot/coal stains and residues from our encaustic tiles. He also provided excellent advice on how to protect the tiles from future staining. Really pleased with the service from start to finish!

Matt came within 2 hours of my enquiry. He did a patch test of what my floor could look like, he then photographed all the missing tiles so he could replace them, then we booked him. He repaired the floor matc. . .
ing up the missing tiles, you can hardly tell the ones he replaced! Then he cleaned the tiles and completed all the work needed, it took him two days! He couldn’t add the varnish to make it glossy as the salt in the tiles was showing through too much, but we are absolutely pleased with the result. The tiles are 130 years old and have been walked in a lot over the years, we are so glad that is has been saved and will last another 130 years! Well done.

We had a lot of grout residue left on our porcelain tiles and despite our several attempts the tiles looked white/grey. Matt contacted us within 24 hours and came out to do a survey and product test on a Sunda morning. The work was completed in 2 days (we had a lot of furniture to move around) and totally pleased with the results.

Matt has done an excellent job of cleaning, regrouting and sealing my very old Pamment clay tile floor. The job was certainly challenging with some issues with efflorescence typical of this old floor laid on sand. Matt gave a detailed quote with intended job schedule - which he finished ahead of time and reduced the price. Matt also kindly gave me some other cleaner to clean a sandstone step elsewhere in the house, and the leftover sealant for me to touch up the pamments later. Overall we are very happy indeed with the new lease of life our floor has been given, which should also make looking after it easier.

I contacted The Tile Doctor to see if I could find a specialist cleaner to deep clean my very marked and dirty tiled hall floor. The man I spoke to was polite and efficient and said he'd give my details to Matt who covered my area. Matt called me back the same day and arranged a visit to have a look at the floor and give me a quote. He was punctual and talked me through the whole cleaning process and what I would need to do to prepare for the deep clean ( moving and protecting antique furniture etc). A date was arranged and the following day he emailed me a quote. Matt was professional throughout his visit to clean the floor and went far beyond my expectations to find the right chemical cleaner to remove stubborn grout marks. I am very pleased with the results he got . The floor looks like new. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing this service. I would definitely use him again.

I am very, very happy with the speed of response, the manner of response and the overall service. I also think that the floor looks great. I am probably being picky but I just have a slight niggle that there are a few small areas that have a look of being unfinished i.e. needing a filler or grouting. For example the join between the edge of the wooden floor and the tiles, there are a couple of corner, cracked tiles that could have been grouted and I don't really think it should be left to me to do these finishing touches or to point them out as needing doing.But overall it looks great, thank you.

Mat was friendly and professional and very accommodating. My kitchen tiles were 7 years old and were starting to look there age (greying and grout missing ) after mat had finished they where back to looking as though they had just been laid (pure white and sparkling )

Matt was the consummate professional from our first contact with him. We were a little concerned that he provided a quote befor seeing the job based on our description but in retrospect we had no cause for concern.
Matt had particular difficulty with rust stains on our stone fire place and contacted his colleagues for advice which proved beneficial but did not give the perfect results he was hoping for. He then said he would to go away and come back again (A ROUND TRIP OF 150 MILES) in a few days with another product which ultimately worked.
All in all an excellent job carried out very professionally all for the originally quoted price.
