We called in Tile Doctor to clean and seal/polish a terracotta floor following a disastrous experience with another guy who left the tiles insufficiently sealed so they were getting badly stained. Mick did a great job, very thorough. He managed to get almost all of the marks out, and left it to dry completely before sealing. We are really happy with the finish, the floor looks great now. Only downside was having to wait six weeks after booking before he was available to start work, and having to wait six days with limited access to our kitchen and utility room in between stages of the job, but it was worth it in the end. We would highly recommend Mick, he knows his stuff, pays attention to the details, and takes a lot of care to get everything right.

I wasn't sure if it was possible to clean up the tiled hallway in our 1930's house. The tiles had been painted and had been under carpet for years (before we moved in and while our children were little). Mick came round to have a look and offered some great advice on what was possible, as well as explaining what to expect, as the tiles are almost certainly damp from being covered for so long. Mick provided a quote quickly, and clearly laid out steps I needed to take before his arrival to carry out the work. On the day, the floor provided several unforeseen challenges, but Mick explained his progress and provided lots of useful tips on how to care for and clean the floor once the work was complete. By the end of the day the floor was looking magnificent, and in a state ready for our children to be in the house and using, which was brilliant. I'm very happy with the work and won't hesitate to give a call in future as and when the floor requires more care.

I cannot complement highly enough the sheer dedication, hard work and technical expertise of Mick Gayton. He truly went over and above my expectations in terms of ensuring he could finish the job to an excellent standard. Mick had to undo a certain amount of kitchen fittings to properly clean the kitchen tiles. He did so happily, promptly, and put them professionally in order to complete job. Apart from being a highly skilled technician, he is a truly nice bloke. It really does make a difference to let someone into your home that is kind, considerate, and a good laugh. We’re delighted with the work Michael carried out at our place! We had two floors in a very sorry state; one slate, one York stone. We’d even had various companies refuse to even come and quote based on the photos we sent of the floors, and Michael was the only person who not only visited, but was enthusiastic to bring them back to life. He thought creatively of ways to solve our issues whilst always bearing in mind the practical needs our Georgian house. Michael from Tile Doctor in Coventry & Warwickshire did a fantastic job on the tiles of St Andrew's Church Shilton. You can see the results on the church Facebook page. All the tiled flooring had had carpet glued onto it. Michael brilliantly removed the carpet and painstakingly removed the glue from the tiles. These are Victorian tiles, so the task required great skill. He transformed the church in a surprisingly short period. We wholeheartedly recommend Michael and Tile Doctor.

We have a Victorian semi-detached house in Kenilworth with a hall with original quarry tiles (1890s). There was one region of loose tiling near a doorway and many other loose tiles. On day one, Mick did a great job at repairing the problem areas and regrouting the floor. On day two, he cleaned the whole floor and left a lovely matt finish. The floor no longer rattles and looks great. Excellent job and done in less than two days. Everything left very tidy. Should have done it years ago!

We were very pleased with the final result, particularly the replacement of broken/missing tiles and removal of some ghastly yellowish concrete filler which had presumably been there for years and years. The circular cleaning machine has left very faint indentations on the surface that can sometimes be seen in reflected light; though perhaps these will wear down as we add more layers of sealant. Overall, very happy - a huge improvement and probably beyond our initial expectations. And much cheaper and better than buying and installing new tiles!

Mick Gayton did a great job on restoring two entrance areas in an old victorian property. The previous owners had covered over the original quarry tiles for thirty plus years. When we took up the carpets, I wasn't convinced they would survive but Mick shared his vision on how they could look through the use of photos and his experience and knowledge of these old tiles. Mick did the research on where to find suitable replacement tiles for the ones badly damaged and all I had to do was to collect from the reclamation yard once he found a suitable supplier. There was no link with a supplier. Mick was only concerned with getting the right match to the existing tiles. We are delighted we went ahead and the effort has transformed the building. It's great to think that after nearly 150 years, the flooring continues to impress - can't imagine any modern flooring lasting in this way. I endorse Mick and his team and will happily speak directly to anyone considering using their services.

After finding a victorian styled tiled floor under our laminate flooring in our hallway, we were very excited about getting it cleaned and restored. We contacted Tile Doctor, and we were put in touch with our local Tile Doctor expert Mick. Mick called us within an hour of my enquiry, and came out to see the floor within a few days. After some great advice from Mick we purchased everything we needed from the Tile Doctor website, and Mick was back within a week to start the cleaning part of the job. Mick informed me before he even quoted that it would be a two part job. Cleaning first, and then sealing a week later. The job went exactly that way. Mick came back yesterday 15/02/17 to complete the sealing, and to say we are delighted with the result is an understatement. Our 'new' tiled hallway looks amazing. The limestone floor covering was dirty, cracked and, in parts, covered with adhesive. The finished product was a vast improvement. My only comment would be that one of the products used was very smelly (heavy vapour?) and I would have preferred for the work to be carried out when nobody else was around. Mick did an excellent job on our bathroom limestone tiles ,bringing them back to new. Thoroughly explained the products and procedures to allow us to manage better in the future. He explained our hallway tiles were more suited to a matt rather than shine finish , but after thoroughly cleaning them , he applied a sealant which gave us the sheen we required. He explained it may be more difficult to maintain but we now understand the problems he has solved . Good tidy worker , prompt and efficient. Overall very pleased with results.

Mick was very patient & helpful whilst we obtained the necessary authorities to get the work done at St Nicholas Church and was very thorough and hard working in some very cold conditions. He finished within 3 days and the Parish Council are very pleased with the results. He also made minor repairs and re-fixed a number of old tiles which had come loose. 10/10!

This was a horrible job for Mike and his colleague as they had to remove a levelling compound from the tiles before they could be cleaned. I take my hat off to them as they worked for hours on there hands and knees scraping and scrubbing. "My joints hurt just watching them!" Fabulous results and I would recommend these guys without hesitation.

Mick came to our house after we had damaged our Victorian Tile floor. He was quick to respond to the query, and when he came round to the house was friendly, knowledgeable and realistic about what could be achieved. He carried out a small test on the floor to confirm that the product was suitable, and to demonstrate the before/after. He understood the challenges that we faced having a small child and having the whole kitchen dining area out of action, and worked quickly and effectively to ensure a minimum disruption. The worked was carried out on the date confirmed and in the timescales given. We absolutely love the result, and found Mick to be a fantastic guy to work with. We would highly recommend, the Tile Doctor Products and Mick's Professional Services.

Firstly may I thank the pleasant member of staff who took my order and for the speed of delivery of the materials. Our ceramic tiled floors has been down for 15 years and has been subjected to dogs, grandchildren and the traffic from a country garden. It was looking grimy but within the day Mick had restored it to its former state. Mick came to my house last week and cleaned my kitchen floor thoroughly. He then sealed it and my House has been transformed, you would not recognise the stone flooring, having just moved in November it just shows that by having a professional person using correct product is defiantly the way to go!
