I contacted Steve with a very last minute request for a quarry tile floor clean which I was intending to do myself but realised would be impossible. I was fully expecting a sorry we are fully booked but with only 48 hours notice Steve managed to give me a day and I now have an absolutely beautifully restored floor. Many thanks again and I would tell anyone donât go anywhere else.

Steve came to see me the same day I contacted him. His quote was incredibly reasonable. He turned up when he said he would- always a bonus with tradesmen. He was professional and courteous throughout and although he hit a few snags his craftsmanship was second to none. It was a 140 year old Minton floor with a lot of damage. Iâd definitely recommend if youâre looking for floor repair or cleaning.

Stephen contacted me promptly after I requested a visit through the Tile Doctor website and attended to offer advice and a quotation. Even though almost 9 months passed between that initial consultation and the work ultimately being started as we were in the process of renovating Stephen remembered all the details previously discussed and was still happy to do the work.
He then spent two days thoroughly cleaning and sealing the hallway to a very high standard. The transformation from what it looked like previously with old paint and carpet residue was incredible, and I was surprised just how well it came up. Stephen was a pleasure to have around and even offered advice around other areas of renovation. I wouldn't hesitate to use Stephen again if required.

Our Edwardian/Victorian Mosaic Tiled hall was in reasonable condition but was lackluster and appeared to have ingrained soiling. Stephen Carpenter (our Nottinghamshire Tile Doctor) appeared very experienced and gave an accurate assessment as to how much improvement we could expect - and our external porch turned out better than he told us it might. He and his wife did as good a job on it as we could expect. It now looks materially brighter, with more vibrant colours and our family can clearly notice the difference. I would have given 5 stars but it was quite expensive and there was some unavoidable damage to new paintwork. However it costs what it costs, they have a lot of expensive kit and I doubt very much I could have achieved the same outcome myself. I would strongly advise decorating after and not before having a tiled floor cleaned.

Items ordered for the job arrived promptly and were exactly as expected. An initial query on products was answered fully on the tel before the delivery arrived. The job was carried out efficiently and the processes were fully explained beforehand Steve and partner were friendly and well- intentioned, working systematically through the day However, the results were a little disappointing A large acidic stain in one area had almost disappeared, which was great, but smaller ring marks in another remained. The final finish was more subtle than anticipated, especially considering the expense involved.

I was a little disappointed with the final finish. There are white streak marks on the floor where the scrubbing procedure has left marks. Also was hoping that the tiles would have a darker colour, as they were before cleaning. Steve did say that this finish was because of the nature of the tile; however, If there is a product that would give quarry tiles a slight sheen and a mellow red finish then I would be interested.

Over the years since the tile floors had been layed all the grout lines had become very stained and dirty, and no amount of scrubbing and mopping made much impact. So we were very pleased with the excellent results that the tile doctors achieved.

Response was swift & I was offered a date the following week. The consultation was thorough so I was aware of the process & price straightaway, with advice on how to maintain the finish afterwards with their specific cleaning product.
My â tile doctorâ turned up on time even though he was suffering from an injured back!
We kept out of the way & returned to a lovely clean floor, restored to what it was when laid. All the accumulations that had become embedded in the surface of an unsealed floor had been removed - the difference was really noticeable.
I have no hesitation in recommending this service.

Steve Carpenter was very helpful and friendly. He initially did a 'work survey' on our 1930's original quarry floor tiles and talked me through the survey. He explained what he could do to clean and restore them. He also provided me with information about how the tiles were originally laid, which I was not aware of. He did a great job on restoring the tiles and gave helpful advice as to how to keep them looking good. I would certainly recommend Steve.

Steve was very clear when explaining the work that he would carry out and the realistic expectations of how the floor would look after restoration. We are extremely happy with our restored quarry tile floor. I would recommend Steve and the Tile Doctor to anybody looking to restore a tile floor to former glory.

I had a lounge floor and a kitchen floor to be treated. Steve gave me a quote and carried out the work in a thorough and highly professional manner. He explained what was involved in the treatment and answered any questions I had in an easy-to-understand fashion, which helps with specialist work such as this. The work took two days and it was done precisely as explained. I am absolutely delighted with the final product and would certainly recommend Steve to anyone else needing quality workmanship to bring up a tiled floor of any age.

Found 'Tile Doctor' online and Steve Carpenter the local agent got in touch. From start to finish he was thoroughly professional and nothing was too much trouble. He is technically very knowledgeable and gave sound advice which was much appreciated. He worked in a clean and orderly manner with the minimal disruption which considering he was working in the kitchen and main entrance hall was most important. Good products, excellent service, would I recommend to others - of course.

Right from the first contact, Steve was courteous, personable and knowledgeable. His analysis of the two very different floors was in-depth and extremely helpful. He outlined the nature and cost of the work as well as the probable outcomes. He arrived promptly, was meticulous in his preparation of the work area so that surrounding surfaces were not affected by his equipment and materials and then worked diligently throughout the days assigned. He was always careful to give updates on progress and thorough in his final instructions on after-care. No hesitation in recommending him for any hard surface cleaning, renovation - or evaluation of flooring and what needs to be done to bring it back to its former glory. Very fast and efficient service. Steve explained the process well. Only slight issue is that the silicone sealant used for edging is peeling slightly in places - hopefully this will clear up over time.

I was very impressed with Mr Steve Carpenter's work and professionalism. We have an old and slightly damaged Edwardian tile floor which we new would never look like new but as a result of Steve's considerable efforts we now have a floor which we are very proud of; we also appreciate the advice Steve gave us on how best to look after the floor in the future, I would have no hesitation in recommending Steve and Tile Doctor.
I was less impressed with the amateur way the cleaning materials I ordered from Tile Doctor were packed and addressed. The flimsy box was held to together by tape and was in a state of near collapse when it arrived at my place of work, the address label failed to mention my name, leaving that to a small and easily overlooked 'for the attention of' text box on the address label. Had this been my first impressions of Tile Doctor, it would have been my last as I was very underwhelmed by the lack of effort to secure package the cleaning products for transit.

Steve was helpful, polite, professional and honest and he provided very detailed background information and advice. He was flexible regarding dates to review the tiles and to carry out the work. On the day of the restoration he worked very hard on what turned out to be an awkward job. The tiles were transformed from porous, dull and faded to sealed and shiny with a new depth of colour and there was no mess to clean up afterwards. All in all a good job.

Absolutely fantastic! We thought that we would have to live with stained sandstone tiles in our new conversion. We had even investigated taking the old tiles up and replacing. Due to the nature of our natural flagstone floor I think our expectations needed to be managed more realistically. While the end result is much improved from the state of the floor before, it is not as good as we both expected following the initial visit from Steve.
