We had a new limestone tile kitchen floor laid. Unfortunately the builders did not put anything down to protect the floor, meaning that they was plater and adhesive all over the tiles before they were sealed. This left marks all over them. We contacted Phill as we were worried we wouldn't be able to save them. He got back to us straight away and provided a quote and then carried out the work. Great communication throughout with a professional finish. Would thoroughly recommend!

We had a travertine floor installed 23 years ago to our hall and kitchen. Although a beautiful tile, it never looked like it did in the showroom. Responded quickly to initial enquiry re limestone floor and he came around following week to asses the job. Another company tried to do it all by email from photos that they requested I take. I also wanted some previous black mastic repairs removed and replaced with a more appropriate colour (yellowish). For him no problem but for the other company they didn't do this. From the initial visit a likeable chap who just gets on with the job. Clearly explains what the outcome will be and doesn't raise expectations by overpromising, very professional. More expensive than the other company but as I had trust in him, worthwhile. Had to wait a month before he could schedule me in but if he's busy that is just a fact of life. His follow up annual resealing seems a bit expensive but since I trust him it would be short sighted to try and find the lowest cost when I already know the quality of his work. I'll be contacting him for this nearer the date.

I have know Phil for many years and asked him to have a look at restoring our 10 year old marble floor which was in much need of some urgent work. Phil's a very personable individual, who takes away any worries about what’s about to happen next. Even when our plans changed he was able to work with us to great effect. The outcome has been worth it! I don't think the tiles have ever looked so good, so if the shine remains and can be mopped easily it’s exactly what we were after. We'd used Traffic wax for years, and given up maintaining the floor due to the poor outcomes and sheer effort every time. This solution looks to be loads easier. Great job.

Travertine floor been down 10 years. I was thinking of replacing it as it had got dull and grout was black, looked horrible. Phil has completely renovated it and it looks better than it did when it was new! In fact it looks better than the floor in the new extension which has only been laid. My hall and kitchen floor has been down for 12 years and has been a high traffic area. The Tile Doctor has literally made it look like new again. Holes filled, smooth ,shiny and new again!My fully tiled bathro m has also been rejuvenated, wall tiles, shower tiles and floor tiles. Philip did a fantastic job getting extensive amounts of adhesive and grout off of our newly laid flagstones. He also re oiled, sealed, helped with grouting and a final clean/seal so when he left the flagstones were completely finished. Prompt service and stayed late to get the job done as soon as possible so we could put our house back together. Would highly recommend.

Phil responded quickly and was always very nice to deal with. However the treatment did not go to plan and he had to come back to re-treat and even after the second visit the final treatment was not great. I had to re-do several areas myself and I do not really expect to have to do that. Phil did offer to re-do himself but by that stage we just wanted our kitchen back and we came to an arrangement. Nice chap just did not go as it should have.

We discovered old quarry tiles hidden under thick carpets in our 200 year old cottage that has no damp proof course. They were in poor condition with white salt deposits, carpet glue and paint splashes everywh re! I contacted other floor cleaning companies who said they couldn't help, but Phil was confident he could improve them. He worked very hard cleaning them and after they were sealed I was very happy with the result. I decided afterwards to mix some red and black natural pigment to your sealant and painted this on with a small brush over our ugly grey grout that spoiled the look and the result is now perfect (a tip for anyone else with the same problem!) The character of our old cottage has been preserved thanks to Phil.

Phil did an amazing job of repairing the holes and cracks and cleaning the pale coloured grout, which now looks like new. Lovely transformation. I have tried the Tile Doctor Stone Soap and this has given the floor a deep shine. I would gladly recommend Tile Doctor to anyone.

Phil was very professional, pleasant and hardworking. I was just a little disappointed with the result, whilst I absolutely understood there would still be unevenness in the tiles, my understanding was that the white colour of the tiles would be resolved with the products Phil was using. If I had realised this was not the case I would have tested using tile paint before having the floor sealed - it's a bit late now as the tiles are sealed and will not absorb the paint. Having said that the floor looks 100% better than it did.

Phillip was a nice guy. I was worried during the process that the tiles weren't going to be to the standard that I expected/ was first shown. The result is ok (for the money you pay) some tiles and still paler than anticipated but generally I am pleased with the service .

Phil is an excellent and genuine tradesman - he works exceptionally hard, honest, reliable and importantly trustworthy - just a nice bloke :-) He had to work in tricky conditions with the all other work we had going on in our house and fitted around it. He did great job filling and recolouring broken/damages sections of the floor to restore it its former glory. We did have an issue with final sealer on our Victorian terracotta floor tiles, however Phil professionally dealt with and put right. I would definitely recommend Phil services to neighbours/friends in Northampton area.

I was very impressed with Philip's response time, especially regarding his assessment of the extent oft work needed on our floor. He was highly professional and managed my expectations. For example, he repeatedly asked about the kitchen units and type of paint used and instead of using large equipment he manually cleaned areas next to the units, culminating in a very respectful performance. Therefore the end result was to an incredibly high standard, with the floor looking brand new. Philip also provided after-care advice to maintain the condition of the floor. The only thing I have a problem with there is some black marks on my new carpet the edge has gone very stiff ( crispy )
its where the chrome strip joins the tiles,

Philip was prompt and reliable and very professional. He is a very hard worker. He explained what he would be doing before we agreed to go ahead, and quite clearly really knew about the treatment of our Turkish limestone tiles with original fossils embedded in them. He told us it would take 3 days, but in fact completed the job in 2. We wanted the tiles sealed but only with a light sheen, not shiny, which is exactly what he has achieved. Our only complaint was when we returned to the room when the floor could be walked on again, we saw that when he had removed the sticky protective sheeting he had used to protect the skirtings and wood surrounds of the kitchen cabinets and window alcove this had stripped off some of the paintwork. We now have to pay extra to get this painted afresh. We do not know if there is any protective product that could have been used instead of this sticky sheeting.

Phil worked hard on this project and probably achieved the best results he could. The water content meant he couldn't put a good sheen on it as the polish left white marks, but he re-stripped it and left some polish so it could be done when the floor is dryer in the summer.

Phil is a really lovely and professional person to deal with. Even though he had a cold he worked very hard and with perfectionism to get our floors cleaned up from old paint, plaster and dirt. He fitted us in to his schedule within our preferred timeframe. He was also happy to answer my many questions on the upkeep of tiles! Finally our tiles are shown off to their Victorian beauty and the house has some real original character back to show off. Thank you!

Phil did a tremendous professional stunning job on my floor. My kitchen floor was a bleak drab grey dull slate with heavily stained brown looking grout that was supposed to be cream! My floor had never been sealed in the 7 years since it had been laid. No matter how much I washed it- it always looked grim. I found out about The Tile Doctor and immediately searched for one in my area. He got back to me the next day and came to see my floor. I told him I don't care if it's perfect- I just want it 'better'. Well today I can put my hand on my heart and say- it is perfect! I am thrilled. Better yet, my husband who did not think we needed a Tile Doctor at all, agrees that our floor is amazing! The grey slate is now is shiny and beautifully cleaned and coated - the grout is cream once again! The whole floor shimmers! Thank you Phil, so much!

It's been a long time since we've come across a tradesman who is so hardworking and conscientious . Phil worked very very hard and achieved an excellent finish on newly laid tiles which another tradesman had failed to achieve a reasonable seal and finish on . We are very grateful and would recommend him to anyone.
