Had very filthy stone kitchen floor. It was dirty when I bought the house a decade ago. Ingrained dirt. I tried everything. Hours of scrubbing on hands and knees. Tried powerful steam pressure cleaning. Tried every product under the sun. Had it 'professionally' cleaned in 2011. Was too light. And they before they started they said 'that won't come out, nor will that or that..! So, a waste of money. Found Rupert on a Sunday afternoon. Left a message. He replied within two hours. Visited the following week. As he really is that good he was booked a few months, but happy to wait. He came in August. In 2021 it is rare to find someone who turns up on time. Rupert does. He said he could get the floor clean and he was right. It looked new by the time he was done. He started at 0800 and finished at noon. One of the best things have ever had done at my house. Fantastic. And yep, this is a genuine review. Am booking him for next Summer as well.

Rupert repaired a badly chipped limestone tile for us, refinished our bathroom floor and replaced the mastic in our shower. The floor was looking rather shabby with staining and grout missing in one area. It now looks shiny and clean. The broken tile had an ugly quite deep fissure and ruined the appearance of the whole floor. The repair is almost invisible, neatly matching the veining on the natural product. Rupert was punctual and efficient. I had his quotation within 10 minutes of viewing the job. Would thoroughly recommend

My Thirties bathroom tiles were in a dismal condition. Simply cleaning them wasn't creating the vintage look I wanted. I contacted Rupert and his communications were excellent. On the day booked to restore the tiles, it took only a few hours for him to bring out their original character. Rupert removed previous well-meaning attempts to re-grout the tiles. He cleaned the tiles with a special solution of Tile Doctor products. He also replaced old sealant around the bath and sink. He took extra care to seal other parts of the bathroom too, giving it a fresh and water-resistant finish. All in all this was a superb job.

Absolutely fantastic job, such a lovely guy we will definitely be using for all tiling related projects, the job was to regrout and clean bathroom tiles, reseal bath and round the floor etc, it turned into a much bigger job timewise as he discovered the wall was damp behind some of the tiles and they had to be removed the wall heat dried and then the tiles relaid, plus he helped my husband put up the new shower glass and then resealed for us. Our limestone floor definitely looks better now. It had developed numerous holes that needed filling and some cracks and the grouting was dirty. I have only given three stars because I found that Rupert had mi sed quite a few of the holes and I had to go over the floor with him twice to point them out which I didn't expect to have to do. He kindly returned to have another attempt at cleaning the grout in one area and has since recommended a grout pen I can try on one area.

Our tiled kitchen worktops were very old and being honest very neglected. Missing grout in places, broken tile here and there. I emailed Tile Doctor and was quickly contacted by Rupert. This morning Rupert came round and worked wonders on our sad worktops. Broken tiles replaced and missing grout replaced and everything cleaned. Now the worktops look so much better. I had a floor that had just been laid with very heavy grout haze. I had already had advice from two other professional floor cleaners who had advised me that the floor was irreparable and would need to be pull. . .
d up. As soon as I spoke with Rupert, it was clear he was extremely knowledgeable. He asked questions none of the other companies had. By understanding the specific nature of the problem, he was able to solve it by first removing the grout polymers and then applying an acid wash. The floor came up brilliantly. Rupert was the only person I spoke to that could fix this, everyone else told me I needed to replace my floor! Superbly knowledgeable, professional and did an excellent job. Don't bother speaking to anyone else, just call Rupert!

Rupert was efficient and prompt in his communications at all times. He was pleasant to have in the house. He did a great job of removing the previous degraded grouting and then regrouting the area. There were several cracked tiles which needed replacement, this was not initially carried out to a satisfactory standard with two tiles proud of the surrounding flooring. Rupert completed two pieces of work for me: 1. Renovating a limestone tiled floor to the hall and kitchen including replacing some cracked and damaged tiles. 2. Refreshing the tiles, replacing and relaying some tiles and renewing the silicon sealant in our bathroom. Our quarry tile floor had been damaged by a builder not protecting the floor when plastering the ceiling. The floor had acid marks and also had not been treated for several years. Rupert was very thorough and determined to ensure that we had a good result. The floor now looks great, much better than before the plaster spill and we are very happy with the result.

I intended to replace my dirty and tired looking sandstone fireplace with a new one when my husband convinced me that we should try professionally cleaning it in the first place. I must state that it is a traditional log fireplace that came along with the house, with deeply embedded coal, oil and perhaps wax marks on both legs of the surround and hearth. I was skeptical if could be cleaned, but agreed as the cost of replacing was in several thousands! Got back from work today and was surprised at how amazingly clean the fireplace looked. The sandstone surround looks as good as new. There are slight marks on the hearth stone which I think adds character and keeps it from looking like a show home fireplace. Rupert had informed us that it was unlikely that the hearth stone marks would completely fade. Rupert was very professional, punctual and tidy. Highly recommend! Give Rupert a chance to wave his magic wand and save ur money!

Tile Doctor were recommended to one of our customers via a contractor we currently use for flooring but was sadly not experienced enough in the marble flooring industry to help. Every person we had out advised the whole flooring had to be ripped up and repair was not possible which would have been in the tens of thousands. Rupert came out and investigated, confirmed a repair and full polish could be done which would leave the floor as good as new. Saved our lives. We had an emergency, where our hand made Terracotta floor had been wrongly sealed by another third party. Our kitchen was ruined. Rupert tried so many ways to remove the problem sealer. He did not give up until it could be put right. Eventually we found a solution. After testing it worked, he removed the problem sealer from the entire floor and then sealed it correctly. Our kitchen floor is now restored. So happy to have our home back. Thank you so much.

I've got a lovely cement tile floor in my hallway. I approached my local tile shop to clean the floor (remove the sealer and then re-seal) as there was a stain on it, caused by a leaking carpet cleaner. They used the wrong product and left my floor with an uneven finish - it looked awful. Rupert was able to reduce the damage - the finish is far more even and I'm confident that over time it will look even better (the cleaning product I use feeds the tile and over time, it creates a dull shine and protective layer on top of the tile). I'm very grateful for his expertise, time and effort. I was worried I had to replace the whole floor - and I absolutely love that floor - and now I feel reassured I can enjoy the floor for years to come.

This was a difficult situation involving poor works by another tiling contractor who would ultimately be charged for the rectification works. Rupert worked very hard on the floor. First off the old seal would not come off. He then reseated it with a gloss finish which flaked off immediately so was removed. He then resealed with a mat seal. Rupert was a total professional from start to finish. I was worried as to how good he would be able to make the floor - the floor consists of almost white porcelain tiles, that my tiler had failed to seal. This meant they had absorbed dirt over the last two years - even after me scrubbing the floor, they always looked dirty. The room was big - a 24 feet long kitchen/dining room. But Rupert assured me he could get it clean again - and he was as good as his word. When I saw the room for the first time, I said "I have my new kitchen back - the floor looks as good as it did the day the tiler had put the tiles down". Rupert was very knowledgeable, practical & a pleasure to have in our home. He talked us through what we could & couldn't do for our ancient (& very badly damaged) original Victorian hallway tiles, scarred from the herds of children/teenagers passing through with bikes, skateboards & stilettos. Many tile surfaces were simply flaking off, PLUS there was about a hundred years-worth of ingrained filth to deal with. We never expected (or wanted) a floor that looked brand new (we're proud to have the original) but we wanted it to look loved & cared for. Rupert spent 2 days scrubbing & then varnishing the tiles, over & over, to a gleaming finish. The sealant smoothing the flaky surface to a uniform shine & bringing back the original colour. Extremely pleased.

End result was very good. Equipment problems resulted in some delay, but Rupert adjusted by recruiting a colleague to assist and made up for lost time.

We had inheriited a black slate bathroom when we bought this house. I was never happy with the way it looked. Shabby and not clean looking. We contemplated re doing the whole bathroom so that we could removed the tiles. This would have meant a lot of disruption, mess and expense.
Thought I would give Tile Doctor a go.
Could not be happier. Rupert told us exactly what needed to be done, the time, and the cost all in one visit.

My tiles look fabulous. Rupert came as promised to quote, and even gave me a demo by treating one of the tiles. Not only did he do a great job on our kitchen floor, but he also noticed the porch tiles looked dirty and cleaned them up for us too. Rupert has worked magic on my terracotta tile floor. It was unsealed when I moved into my house and no amount of scrubbing, steaming or coaxing ever got it clean enough for me to want to seal it.
Rupert was very professional and explained clearly about the results I could expect, given the condition of the floor and the grout and he surpassed all expectations!
I now have a bright, shiny, clean floor to be proud of - not an eyesore! I wish I'd discovered the Tile Doctor years ago - I would thoroughly recommend Rupert to anyone who needs to spruce up their scruffy tiled floor - you won't be disappointed!

Our Floor was in a terrible state and required a great deal of hard work, it now looks amazing thanks to Rupert. We are very pleased and would certainly reccomend Rupert. I had tried several products on my kitchen floor as the tiles have a grain and were very difficult to clean. Rupert was able to restore the tiles to look like a new floor. I am delighted with the result.

I had a marble floor that had some scratches on the surface,contacted Tile Doctor and they put me in contact with Rupert Mcleod.He came the next day and told me how he could make good the floor and gave me quote. Rupert carried out the work required in a quick and efficient manner. He was extremely polite and professional and so far we are very pleased with the results.
We live in a new house and unfortunately the tiles in our en suite wet room were very slippery when wet and would cost a lot to replace so having the non slip coating was something we wanted to try before laying out a lot more money and it certainly has worked. Rupert and his colleague were pleasant and professional. I was a little disappointed with the extent to which the tiles cleaned up and I thought the price was high given the limited area to be treated and polished. However, the overall finish is a big improvement on how the tiles were before and I appreciated Rupert on his own initiative washing down our external path tiles - simply because he had the machine there.

Rupert cleaned and resealed our brickwork kitchen floor. The results are really fantastic. On his first visit to cost the work he demonstrated clearly what he would be able to do. He was very professional and worked to his initial quote which required two days' work. I am happy to recommend him.

Tired dirty old slate floor that i did not really like. Not long moved in so much to do so decided to revamp rather than replace. Terracotta floor took 2 whole days to seal and clean. Although some marks didn't come out the floor is much improved and both Robert and his colleague were very helpful and polite.
