We are really pleased with our newly restored tiles. It has been so easy to deal with Trevor. Following his prompt response to our enquiry he came and assessed the job and gave us a clear quotation. We were then kept up to date via text re: timing of the job. Whilst he was on site he was easy to deal with and just got on with the job in hand. After making the appointment for the renovation of our original Minton tile floor we were enforced to reschedule the work on no less than 5 occasions, due to letdowns from the plasterer. Trevor was a true professional about it, doing so without complaint and with great patience. During the actual work Trevor was always punctual and his demeanour was pleasant and chatty, but not to the point where it served as a distraction to what he was doing.The quality of the renovation is quite superb. The floor has had a new lease of life. It looks like it must have done all those years ago when it was first laid - clean and shiny, and now, finally, intact. (So pleased are we with the work we don't want to walk on the floor anymore, we just want to admire it!) It was worth every penny we paid for it and more...... We would have no reservation in recommending Trevor to anyone in the family or indeed anyone.Many thanks, Trev.

Spilled a full jar of beetroot on a pale limestone floor and the liquid vinegar soaked into the floor leaving a stained patch. Trevor did a great job or removing the stain, followed by cleaning and polishing the entire floor, which now looks as good as new. Our minton floor (dating back to 1890) had a large crack going from one side of the wall to the other. It had also sunken in this area by around 5mm, plus inch thick sections of missing tile had been filled wi h ugly looking concrete. Trevor has done a great job, he replaced the broken and cracked tiles and you can no longer tell that the floor had originally sunk in that area. It is now shiny, squeaky clean and looks beautiful. We are very happy and highly recommend Trevor.

Polite and punctual. The seal finish is good. However Tile Doctor left a few bits of repair unfinished on the first visit which I had to ask to be finished.

Trevor was very professional form the first meeting where he carried out a test sample on our floor, which gave us an indication of what we could expect. But also allowed him to accurately see what the job ent iled, costs etc.The main driver for us getting the work done was, we had a ceiling collapse in our house, which was built in 1860, this did some damage to the floor and tbh we thought it was never going to look beautiful again. The quote Trevor gave us was for 2 days work, and was very reasonable.Trevor was on site for the 2 days. When he finished, there was no mess at all, anything he used to do the work was cleared from site, so no evidence that he'd been there.Apart from our floor, which exceeded both mine and my wife's expectations, it looks stunning, the best its looked since we've been in the house(11+years), had we know what was possible we would have got it done previously.We cant recommend Trevor and his service enough. Great result and very reasonably priced.

Friendly personable disposition. Punctual and reliable. Always explained what he was going to do and why. Helpful advice re maintaining floors.
Trevor had to work on a Minton tiled hall floor and slate floors in breakfast room, kitchen, utility room and toilet. This took four days. On completion of cleaning and sealing, the floors look great and we are very happy with the result.
We had tried twice to clean and restore the hall floor ourselves but because we had no damp proof course and had finished with a wet look glossy non-breathable polish, we developed white patchy areas. Trevor removed the polish and this time used a breathable sealant, which although not high gloss has left a nice sheen to the tiles, enhances the colours, and we are happy with the result. Obviously, as Trevor has only completed the work this week (21 July 2016) only time will tell but we are confident this breathable finish will resolve our previous problems. Excellent work. Our original tiler used the wrong sealant when fitting the tiles which meant the finish was terrible because the tiles were grout stained. He couldn't fix it everyone else I spoke to had an opinion of what to do but no-one really had a proper solution. Trevor came along from the tile doctor and just fixed it. The floor now looks amazing.

We had expected Trevor to be here all day on Thursday cleaning with another member of staff and for him to return on Friday to seal the floors. They were 30mins late arriving which wasn't a problem but due to the England game they both finished around 2 and we didn't see Trevor again until the following morning. Unfortunately the cleaning was not finished properly on the Thurs probably because they decided to finish early for the football which meant Trevor had to clean all Friday morning too and was sealing until Friday evening. It was a big inconvenience for us and we would have preferred the cleaning to have been totally completed on Thurs so that sealing could have started first thing Friday morning and been completed by Friday afternoon. The final product looks good and we are generally happy with the floor at this stage (not been a week yet so we haven't cleaned the tiles yet as directed by Trevor).

Trevor Preece did a great job. (and I am extremely hard to please). He cleaned up the grout and then put on the sealant and both the kitchen and bathroom look like they have had brand new floors fitted. They look really fantastic - better than I'd even hoped for. He worked extremely hard all day and did not stop. He was a very pleasant fellow, very approachable and I would certainly recommend him.

Trevor Preece is an easy going man who knows his job and is happy to discuss your needs and do little extras such as grouting when necessary. Neither my husband nor myself felt uncomfortable with him in our home, he did everything in the timeframe he had stated and we are very pleased with the end result. overall pleased with the job however being advised it would take two full days initially and then him arrive at 10.15 and be finished at 3.15 n both days gave the feeling that the works it had been overpriced. solid wood door (£400 internal door)had drawn up some water after the day of preparation which gave concern, however no long term effect appears to have come of this so perhaps better control/sheeting were expensive fittings are present (or request to remove before attendance) when charging £200 a day for five hours max.

Trevor has had to come back to correct some of his work as the floor was patchy over shiny and tacky, he has stripped it back down and tried an alternative matt finish however again this has since dried and is not to our satisfaction. Trevor is due back on 28th August to try and rectify the indoor porch area however we have just come back from our holiday and the outdoor is really poor and looks far worse than before any work was carried out. Also the stone area has been stained with your products and the brass rim to the carpet has been doscloured. If some one could contact me on 07964 081377 to discuss further. Trevor worked very hard bringing our dreadful grouting back to life and cleaned up the mosaic tiles where we had unsuccessfully tried to darken the grout and had caused many of the stone mosaics to seemingly "stain". Trevor was very genial and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to others. The flooring now looks like it did when it was first laid.

The floor isn't 100 percent pristine, but then it was extremely dirty, had never been sealed, and had been in a bad state for years, so overall we were pleased with how well it came up. Trevor was friendly and helpful, and his positive attitude to taking on the work was our reason for choosing him over a cheaper quote. It looks like a different floor, and for the first time ever since we bought the house (with the floor already in) the room feels clean!

Trevor had a very tough job to do getting our Victorian tiles into shape after decades under a Marley tile floor. They were covered in layers of hard glue but Trevor worked exceptionally hard restoring them to like new. Trevor was very friendly and punctual. An excellent job done and we would definitely recommend him.
