We moved to our house at the beginning of the year and our conservatory tiles were filthy and covered in paint splatters. They are now in pristine condition - much like they were when first laid, I should think. The service provided was excellent. Julian was excellent- he was happy to address a small job that had been refused by other companies as not worth their while. He gave advice that was clearly based on long experience, and freshened up the 1930's porch tiling- well finished and nery neat grouting.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Julian's contact is second to none, and he clearly communicated the exact actions he would do to restore our worn Terrazo flooring in Cardiff. Many thanks to Tile Doctor and Julian for restoring my black limestone patio which had been severely damaged by a very careless builder while rendering my house. I came home to find he had used an acid cleaner amongst other things to try and clean it and then tried to cover it up with a sealant just before it rained! It looked an absolute mess and I was devastated. After carrying out extensive research no one could assure me they knew how to rectify the damage. Then I came across Tile Doctor and an article on the website about restoring black limestone. I made contact with Julian who has been amazing from the outset. I couldn't fault the communication and ongoing advice he gave. Although I had to wait a couple of months due to other work commitments the work has just been finished and I am really pleased with the result. I have finally got my much loved patio back. Thank you

From the minute we contacted Julian through to the final day - we have been delighted with the service. He is efficient, honest and skilled. We had wondered whether to cover the old Terrazzo hall floor. Everyone admires it but it was stained all around the edge and had hairline cracks. Julian came to see it explaining he was very busy - in December 2021. He said the hairline cracks could be filled but warned us the result could not be to make the cracks invisible as the floor was put down in 1910. But he said it would look much brighter and he could clear the marks which were not washable. We wanted to have it done and he arrive in early Jan 2022 exactly as promised. He worked steadily for the 3 days and was very helpful. There was no mess or dust which we had feared and we could still move around the house. Julian is helpful, polite and a very good communicator.

They have been cleaned up amazingly as previously there was lots of old paint marks, ingrained dark dirt stains and worn lighter areas. This was an exceptional piece of work. Julian, came to see us very quickly after speaking and advised us about ‘getting rid of the bitumen’, exposed after taking off the wood block flooring.
He returned about 4 weeks before doing the job to test out which product/approach was going to be successful in cleaning the flooring in the hall and tie to find time before the date agreed, but that was not possible.
He arrived when he said he would and the immediate impact was quite spectacular, he cleaned, polished and sealed the floor and we now have an amazing terrazzo floor in the porch and hall. Julian was highly professional and very easy to talk to and he was happy to advise us throughout the process. We would recommend him to everyone.

He arrived on the date we arranged and was finished promptly.
We had our hall tiles re-surfaced and the path completely relayed. Where possible outside Julian re-used the old tiles and when not then used new. The final finish is amazing and definitely gives a wow factor to the entrance to the property.

Julian restored the black and red quarry tiles in our house that were previously hidden by carpet as they were so damaged. We were totally delighted with the result and cannot recommend Julian enough. He was very honest with us about what he could/couldn't do as the tiles were in very poor shape but we were amazed at what he achieved. Some of the tiles were too damaged to fix but he came up with a very creative suggestion rather than suggesting we pay for new tiles to be put in. Everyone comments how wonderful the floor looks- it adds something so special to the house. Julian's communication was brilliant too- always on time and a pleasure to have in the house. We were so fed up with trying to look after our twenty year old Fired earth terracotta floor as the seal had gone and the grout was very stained. We nearly dug it up or covered it with vinyl, lovely though it is. A last chance bit of research led me to Tile doctor Julian. He told us that he thought it could be renovated as new and sealed properly for an easy care finish, although he was careful to explain that with natural terracotta, results are not guaranteed. He took two days to strip it and seal it and now it looks fantastic. Thank goodness we didn't give up on such a beautiful floor. He also renovated our 1930's lobby tiles and they have come up really well. Julian also gave us lots of information about caring for the floors in the future. Thank you tile doctor.

Amazing transformation of our hallway tiles. Our house was once a General Store in the early 1900's, the ground in dirt was unbelievable. Julian has just finished restoring my Victorian tiled hallway.Sometime back a "reputable" Cardiff tile restorer told me my floor was past saving ,advised me I needed a new one and quoted an exhorbitant price for doing it,how wrong he was.
Julian came and looked said there was no damage to the floor and he could restore it .
This he did!!! I now have a wonderful restored floor,it is perfect in every way,the work was done in two days,one for cleaning and one for sealing.I would 100% recommend Tile doctor and Julian in particular to restore your floors.Cant praise the Tile doctor highly enough.

I was most impressed by his honesty towards his work, whereas other vendors would have been keen to start work right away he advised we wait for a few weeks before restoring our floor as it was too damp and gave helpful tips to remove the damp. We had our original tiled hallway corridor in Cardiff restored by Julian who was friendly and professional. He was very accommodating of my work schedule when doing his initial quote and the actual work. Julian always tidied up and there was no disruption to us living in the property. Julian arranged to come and quote within the space of 1 or 2 days which was great. The quote was very competitive and he was very professional in explaining what needed correcting e.g some tiles needed to be re-laid some needed replacing etc etc. Anyway the work took 2 days and the results were better than I ever expected. Our floor truly looks like new and it's 100 years old. Would recommend Julian to anyone. Very genuine man who can be trusted in your property and more importantly will exceed expectations with his work. My flooring is the talk of the street now. Thank you very much.

The original tiler had in places left some extreme tile lippage however Julian (the Tile Doctor) assured me that he would be able to remove this and give me the smooth polished floor that I had imagined at the outset. He did not disappoint, after numerous stages of grinding and polishing the floor looked amazing, smooth and polished throughout. Just as importantly Julian was an extremely clean worker, at the end of the day you couldn't tell he had been there, apart from the floor getting gradually smoother!

Julian was prompt, courteous, informative and professional. His attention to detail was second to none. He did a fantastic job cleaning and sealing the floor tiles on our bathroom floor and in our shower enclosure. The floor tiles had been ingrained with dirt and the shower tiles covered in a residue of grout. They now look as good as new, as through freshly laid. Many thanks!

We are absolutely thrilled with the results the tile doctor has managed to achieve. The quarry tiles were in a very poor state when we took up the carpets but the tile doctor managed to restore them beautifully, replacing the tiles that were beyond repair and retaining the character of a floor that is well over 100 years old. We were surprised at how clean a job it was - no mess or dust to return home to. I thoroughly recommend Julian the tile doctor!

The damage on my hallway floor was very severe. After pulling up the carpet in our hallway we discovered very dirty but very gorgeous victorian tiles. They were filthy and covered with glue and all sorts. Julian cleaned them up and sealed them for us. We are amazed and extremely pleased with how they have come up. The colours in the tiles are lovely. We are very pleased, thank you so much.

I'm really happy with how our hallway looks now. I had had another tile specialist come and look and basically say the floor was beyond repair as it wasn't possible to fully restore it. Julian understood that I knew that certain areas were always going to be damaged but that we still wanted to retain the floor as it is an integral part of the character of the house. He deep cleaned the tiles and replaced the broken parts and then sealed the floor and it by far exceeded my best expectations of how good it could look. I'm delighted.

We had quarry tiles in the kitchen which had not been sealed properly and had many marks on them. Julian gave myself and partner some good advice and he came and stained and re-sealed the floor. Hi Julian, just to let you know that Jane and I are delighted with your work. We hadn't imagined the transformation in our kitchen was possible. It was difficult for us to identify why the beautiful tiles that we had purchased looked dull and unsuitable in our kitchen. You quickly identified that the grout line was too deep, the tiles were stained and had not been adequately sealed. The tiles are now stunning - the grout line is raised and changes the look of the tiles completely, from rustic, uneven and dull to polished and stunning. The stain removal is astonishing and the transformation brought about by expert polishing and sealing is extraordinary. The tiles are now serviceable where previously we had fretted about anything that fell on them. In addition the restoration of the original ceramic tiles in the hallway is lovely. Our Tile Doctor performed a cleaning sample on his seocnd visit, and from that point onwards we were sure to go ahead with having him clean the whole hallway. He did a great job of cleaning and re-sealing our victorian hallway floor tiles. Because the tiles were laid on a suspended floor, he carefully completed much of the cleaning by hand rather than using any machinery. The colours came up really well. Thank you!

I recently had Black Limestone tiles layed in my new extension and the tillers left them covered in Adhesive and grout so I contacted Tile Doctor who put me in touch with Julian Iacono. Julian removed the old sealer, cleaned my tiles and then re-applied fresh sealer and the difference is amazing. Before re-sealing Julian took a sample of my tiles and applied 3 different types of sealer so I could choose which one I prefer. The problem was a newly installed porcelain floor badly marked with residual grout and dirt. The supplier/fitter had not been able to resolve this issue and in a newly built quality house it was a matter of serious concern. The area was very large being most of the ground floor of 10m.x 10m.
Having contacted the Tile Doctor on line we received an immediate response from Julian Iacono which included an initial telephone call, a site inspection and a quote detailing the work to be done, the materials to be used, a date for completion and the cost. All has been completed as promised even though it was the Christmas holiday period ! My wife and I are greatly relieved to have had this worrying problem resolved. We had a prompt, friendly and efficient service and an excellent outcome with the floor now looking 'Wow ' which was what we initially intended.

Julian worked like a beaver on our quarry tiled floor, which when laid had not been sealed properly, so despite our attempts at cleaning and re sealing with recommended products from Tile Flair, the floor never looked clean. Though this is not an inexpensive process, we went ahead and now have a spotless new-looking , sealed floor with all the original colour revealed again. Also the vast majority of the grout is back to its original colour I would say the floor is 96% free of stain, an excellent result. We also value the product you offer for us to keep the floor looking good. Julian took great pride in his work, not even stopping for lunch, and stored his materials neatly overnight. Refreshing to have such a thorough worker, we are well pleased in every respect.
