Wall Tile & Grout Sealer Aerosol Spray
Quick and efficient effective sealer, fully waterproof, easy to apply quick drying spray-on sealer for wall tile and grout. Provides long lasting protection against water, dirt, grease, mould and limescale. Reduces maintenance and is transparent so not to affect the colour of the grout.
Uses:
Recommended for use of cementitious, sanded and un-sanded grout joints in interior or exterior Ceramic and Porcelain tile installations. Highly recommended for use in bath or shower areas to prevent mould and grout staining from continued use of acid and alkaline formulated shampoos and soaps etc.
Method of Application:
- Read entire label before using.
- For new installations sealer can be applied 48 hours after grouting.
- Grout joints must be clean, dry, and free of existing sealers or coatings.
- Spay onto grout joints and allow to soak in.
NOTE: Make sure any sealer that does not penetrate surface is polished fry from the surface within 5 minutes of each application using absorbent paper or cotton towels.
Cure Time:
- If 2 coats are applied, allow a minimum of 30 minutes drying time between coats.
- Ready for surface traffic 2 hours after final coat.
- Sealed area should be kept dry for 12 hours.
- Achieves a full cure in 24 hours.
- Conduct a test to determine if surface is completely sealed after 2 hours by applying water droplets to the surface. If water is absorbed, apply an additional coat, wait 2 hours and repeat the test.
Coverage:
One 500ml unit will cover approximately 10m² to 120m² (107 to 1300 sq. ft.) per coat, depending on porosity of grout joint, temperature, humidity and method of application. For example, on a 30 x 30cm tile with a 3mm grout joint a 500ml unit will cover approximately 70m² with a two coat application.
Expected Wear
Will vary depending on hardness and texture of the surface, type of area, surface wear, frequency and type of maintenance products used. The expected wear is up to 5 years. Extreme weather conditions, harsh cleaning methods and high-alkaline or solvent based cleaners will affect wear.
