Made with industrial diamonds and available in different sizes and grits, burnishing pads are ideal for restoring the appearance of polished stone walls and floors.

Uses:

• Six inch burnishing pads are designed to fit a hand held buffing machine to restore polished stone walls and tricky to reach floor areas.
• Seventeen inch pads are used with weighted rotary floor machines to remove dirt and restore the polished stone finish.
• We also supply Milling Pads which are very coarse low grit pads that can reduce and level the surface of a stone floor; ideal for stone floors where the tiles have not been laid evenly and have lippage issues. For more information on Milling please see our dedicated Milling page.
• Please Note: Pad colours can vary between batches; this does not affect the quality of the finish

Demonstration

Method of Application:

• Start with a 400-grit diamond burnishing pad to take off the old sealer and ground in dirt. Add water to the area and then run the pad over each tile 3 or 4 times, then remove the dirty water using a wet vaccum and rinse the floor.
• Next remove the coarse pad and replace with a 800-grit diamond burnishing pad and repeat the process including rinsing with water and extracting with a wet vacuum.
• Follow this with the 1500-grit burnishing pad. Again, rinse the floor with water and remove with a wet vacuum.
• If required scrub the grout joints with Pro-Clean diluted 1:5 parts water.
• Leave to fully dry and then complete by applying a 3500-grit diamond burnishing pad and polish with a squirt of water.
• Remove stubborn marks left over from polishing with a Burr Line Buffing pad.
